Riverdale Repertory Company presents a multigenerational performance of Rodgers & Hammerstein's musical The Sound of Music. Opening this weekend at Riverdale Performing Arts Center located within the Riverdale Y, join a cast of forty children and adults in classic songs like "My Favorite Things" and "Do Re Mi." Cast members from Riverdale Rising Stars, Junior Rising Stars (as young as seven!), and Riverdale Repertory Company have been rehearsing for the past six weeks in preparation for this family-friendly, heartwarming show about lovable Maria and the troublesome von Trapp children. Local Riverdale director Emily Jackson presents her first show with Riverdale Repertory Company.
The Riverdale Y is located at 5625 Arlington Ave., Bronx, NY. The performance runs approximately 2.5 hours with one intermission. Tickets are $20/adult and $10/children and available for purchase here. Performance dates: March 4 at 8pm; March 5 at 2pm and 7pm; March 11 at 8pm; March 12 at 2pm and 7pm.
